StatusLog & ObjectLog

Log, record and manage activities of radio-users in the field

Dispatch or command & control centres often have multiple operators managing a large number of radio-users in the field. Radio-users typically call an operator to update their status, for example when a task is complete. Operators in turn may need to query a radio-user on the status. This requires that both radio-user and operator keep track of whom to call. Having to manually handle the information adds overhead, and can give rise to errors, especially during peak traffic or where issues need to be resolved quickly. SoftRadio StatusLog is a Windows server based application that assists in managing activities in a radio network. StatusLog receives and logs incoming calls from radio-users in the field. The application automatically updates the status of these users. All operators on consoles using StatusLog see the same information in real-time. SoftRadio ObjectLog (optional add-on to StatusLog) provides a further level of activity management. Operations can pre-assign individual radio-users to specific ‘objects’ and define parameters or conditions to be met. In effect, ObjectLog adds task-information to the status-information provided in StatusLog, further reducing the overhead for operators and radio-users. Both Status and ObjectLog can be customised. Please do let us know if you have any suggestions on how we can make Status & ObjectLog more useful and beneficial to you.

Status Log enables operations to manage status calls for their specific operation, e.g. in fleet, security or emergency response environments. StatusLog displays status-reports from radio users, queues voice-calls or automatically prompts call-backs where status-updates are outstanding. Emergency calls can be set-up to override the normal queue. StatusLog runs on a Windows server platform.

Each incoming Status Call is logged with the code and text for the status, for example ‘Signed-In’, ‘Check-Point 1’ or ‘Depot’, the radio-user and a time stamp. The time stamped includes when it is received, when it is first answered and when it is last handled. Status messages can also be exported to other systems. StatusLog will also log voice-call requests from radio-users in the field. Voice-call requests are made to one radio and placed in a queue. Emergency calls are highlighted in red square on all dispatcher screens and placed at the top of the voice-call queue. An alarm tone will sound until the alarm is cleared by an operator/from the computers until one dispatcher clears the alarm.

ObjectLog allows to pre-assign radio-users to objects and define parameters or conditions (events) to be met. With ObjectLog, operations can add task-information to the status-information provided in StatusLog, further simplifying the tasks of activity management for operators and improving their efficiency in operations. Different parameters can be assigned to every object and every radio-user. Object or task conditions parameters assigned to the radio-user can be changed dynamically. If any one of the conditions set is not fulfilled in its allotted time, a warning is sent to the radio-user. If the appropriate response is not received, an alarm is raised on operator consoles.
